![]() I will be running Linux on the BeagleBone Black, so, what I need to find, is a "Linux" equivalent to the cdc_NTXPVista7.inf. I want to do the same thing, with a BeagleBone Black, instead of a PC, have the BeagleBone Black be the USB Host, connect to my product which will still have the USB connector on it that is emulating a serial port. (not all, found some that don't, dang windows. usbrser.sys which comes standard with most Windows installs. ![]() The driver I use on the PC is the cdc_NTXPVista7.inf driver inf file which basically says "use usbser.sys" when you see the "cdc" vendor id/pid when connected physically via USB to the PIC chip. I use the CCS Compiler software to build my PIC software, and it has built into it the drivers to make the PIC chip look like a virtual serial port via the USB cable. Currently, I have a device that has a PIC18F87J50.
